1. Service Description

MarkLayer (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”) is a platform provided by Beconcept Studio that automatically generates a simplified Markdown version of the content found on web pages of websites, e-commerce platforms, and web apps.

The generated content is optimized for consumption by language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity.

The Service is currently offered as a free plan only under a freemium model.

2. Registration and Account

To access the Service's features, users must register by providing:

Full name
A valid email address
A secure password

Users are responsible for safeguarding their login credentials and agree not to share them with third parties.

Registration implies full acceptance of these Terms and of the Privacy Policy.

3. Data Collected

MarkLayer collects the following user data:

Full name and email address provided during registration
URLs of websites submitted by users for Markdown generation

The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, managed via Iubenda.

4. Ownership of Generated Content

The Markdown files generated by the Service are owned by the user who requested them.

Once downloaded, the user may use the files freely, provided their use is legal and complies with the terms of the original websites.

Beconcept does not claim ownership of the generated content, except for any automatic metadata added by the Service.

5. Permitted Use

Users agree to:

Refrain from using the Service to violate copyrights or access protected content unlawfully
Avoid using the Service for fraudulent, misleading, or abusive activities
Not interfere with or tamper with the technical functioning of the platform

MarkLayer is intended primarily for professional use, but private individuals may use it provided they adhere to these terms.

6. Disclaimer of Liability

Beconcept Studio makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of the generated content, nor its semantic fidelity to the original site.

The Service is provided “as is”, with no express or implied warranties.

Misinterpretations by AI systems based on generated content
Data loss, service interruptions, or technical issues
Improper or unauthorized use of the Service

7. Service Modifications

Beconcept reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, with or without notice.

Users will be informed via email or in-app notifications when possible.

8. Changes to the Terms

These Terms may be updated over time.

Updates take effect upon publication. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Mantua (Italy), unless otherwise required by applicable law.
